All hell broke loose in London a few weeks ago when an historic Anglican church there hosted a fashion show featuring satanic designs. Against a backdrop of large Illuminati and Masonic images placed in front of the altar, heavily made-up models strutted themselves dressed as devils and vampires wearing horns and upside-down crosses. “Blasphemous!” was the response of “leading clerics.” Echoing them, one said, “Christians will be outraged…. In the sense that Christ’s name is being dishonored, it is blasphemous.” Too late, Anglican clerics! You blasphemed Christ’s name long before these people did. This Religious but Rebellious Reverend
A Satanically-possessed gunman slaughters 59 people and wounds an additional 500-plus people in Las Vegas, USA, and the female Reverend of the 5500-member Chicago Fourth Presbyterian Church says, “It’s overwhelming and God has some explaining to do.” Wrong, Reverend. Not according to Job Chapters 38-41 He hasn’t! It is you who has some explaining to do. And explain you certainly will, if you fail to humble yourself and come to your senses. The Reverend also says she doesn’t believe God will send anyone to hell. In a sense that’s true, but that won’t stop her from entering it! Continue reading “This Religious but Rebellious Reverend”
Stick To the Plain-sense Meanings of Scripture
Exhorting his people, “not to follow after false forms of Christianity,” the pastor said to them, “There is more false Christianity in the world than true Christianity. There are more false representatives of Christ than true ones. There are more false Christians than true Christians.” The question to ask is, how can we avoid being caught up in this? Answer: Stick to the plain-sense meanings of all Biblical Scripture. Of all the false forms of Christianity practiced, is there any worse than that which makes the Scriptures say what God never intended them to say? Hatred for All Things Christian
The testimony of a persecuted, imprisoned, Asian Christian man: “I can handle the torture, the starvation; but I desperately need my Bible. Every day I pray, over and over, for God to give me a Bible.” Amazing! He struggled less with physical torture and starvation than spiritual torture and starvation. I’m not sure how long he had been a Christian, but this seems to be the testimony of a man who, before he was imprisoned, took his Bible seriously; not merely reading it, but meditating on what he was reading, studying it and grounding himself in the divine truths and promises declared within it. Reject These 3 Lies of Satan!
Asked why he was no longer serving the Lord Jesus with his ministry gift, the first reason the Christian man gave, was the lack of appreciation given to him by the people he had been ministering to. I suspect in one way or another that’s the reason why multitudes of Christian men and women are no longer serving the Lord with their gift/s today. If only they would look to Jesus for a word on the matter rather than look to self, because the moment they do the latter they open a door for Satan to bring his word instead. And being the father of lies, Satan’s word is always going to be a lying word. Continue reading “Reject These 3 Lies of Satan!”
The Arresting Officer
Common Christian-speak, in the form of a question asks, “If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?” Given the moral state of Western society and its ever-increasing overt hatred of all things Christian these days, getting arrested for identifying one’s self with Jesus Christ may well soon be a reality for many of us. So the question is timely; would there be enough evidence to convict? If the arresting officer entered most churches today, he might make some arrests based on what he heard and saw, but would they stand up in a court of law? Continue reading “The Arresting Officer”
He Who Cares Nothing for Holiness
“He who cares nothing for holiness knows nothing of the love of Jesus.” – CH Spurgeon. Amen indeed! Take heart Australian Christians who are taking your stand against pending same-sex marriage legislation in this country. You’re on God’s side and He’s on yours. And, as for those Christians who do stand for this “marriage” and accuse us of not having the love of Jesus, be warned. You’re not on God’s side and He’s not on yours. It matters not to me if you have a string of tiles before your name and a string of letters after it, if you stand for this “marriage” you stand against Jesus Christ. Don’t Die a Lawless Rebel!
“Roger, not everyone believes in your god. Why do others have to live by what you believe?” I was asked this on “social” media two weeks ago in reference to my standing against same-sex marriage, which the nation is soon to vote on through a postal plebiscite. Not all who questioned or commented were as polite, but the overall theme of the others was similar – “your god.” From what I could see, most of the people responding looked to be in their 30’s, so I can only imagine, as it is for most people of that age, life’s very good for them so who needs God anyway? Answer: they need God! Continue reading “Don’t Die a Lawless Rebel!”
If the Church Allowed God back In
“This nation needs God,” is one of the common statements from Christians here in Australia presently. They are saying it in reference to the Australian people getting the opportunity soon, to have their vote on same-sex marriage through a postal plebiscite. Perhaps more accurately, they’re saying it because of the overt vitriol and bitterness spewing from the hearts and mouths of those opposing what the Bible says about marriage – that of being between one man and one woman. Personally I believe the church needs God much more so than the nation. The church has kicked God out! Continue reading “If the Church Allowed God back In”
The Clever People are not Clever at All!
“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.” – George Orwell. One doesn’t have to be a Holy Spirit-led, Jesus Christ-centered, Bible-based Christian these days to experience society’s hatred for speaking the truth. One only has to be a man-made climate change skeptic, or a pro-lifer, or one who stands for traditional marriage and they’ll be hated should they speak up for them. The days of simply being disagreed with in a discussion, leaving it at that, are long gone. In fact the days of engaging in mere discussion on just about any topic are long gone! Continue reading “The Clever People are not Clever at All!”
