A young lady, having become a Christian recently, shared her deep regret on social media for having once terminated the life of her unborn child. “I was not a Christian back then and I believed the doctor when he told me the removal of the fetus was not the same as taking a human life. What Happens when One ceases Running from Christ?
Question: What happens when one ceases running from Christ and humbly surrenders to Him instead? Answer: One discovers Christ is their Friend, not an enemy. He or she discovers self is the enemy, not Christ. One discovers self-centeredness is death, Christ-centeredness is life. One discovers the love Christ grants him or her replaces all fear of Him which in turn delivers him or her from all fear of anyone else. For God has not given us a spirit of fear (timorous, servile, cowardly), but of power and of love and a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:7. On her website, a Democratic Party nominee for District Attorney in Boston, USA, lists fifteen criminal offenses that she will decline to prosecute if she is elected. Her quote to a TV presenter: “We are spending too much time on petty crimes that are clogging up our system and costing us more money.” Some of the petty crimes listed: trespassing, shoplifting (under $250), disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, receiving stolen property, minor driving offenses, including driving under a suspended license, wanton or malicious destruction of property, drug possession, plus the intent to distribute such and, resisting arrest. Question: What happens when the Church turns its back on God? Answer No 1. It violates the 1st Commandment of God, You shall have no other gods before Me Exodus 20:2. That’s rebellion. Answer No 2. It violates the 2nd Commandment of God, You shall not make for yourself any carved image Exodus 20:4. Carved into their idolatrous imaginations, is a god they believe the true God ought to be. That’s idolatry. Answer No 3. It violates the 3rd Commandment of God, You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain Exodus 20:7. The Deceiving Religious Spirit
I thank God for His mercy in revealing from Bible Scripture, signs this present age is winding down: wars, rumors of wars, against nations, governments against governments, famines, pestilences and earthquakes. True, they’ve all been around for a very long time, but not on the scale we’re now witnessing them across the globe. One sign however, equally as strong as the others, but not equally spoken of, is religious deception. Take heed that no one deceives you, Jesus said in Matthew 24:4. In a number of posts on this blog, I’ve sought to draw attention to the reality of persecution. All who take a stand for the biblical Lord Jesus Christ do, or will, experience persecution. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,…… Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake Matthew 5:10-11. As it is presently in the Western world, persecution towards Christians is seen in marked disrespect, ridicule, mockery and slander, plus avoidance of company. In the Eastern and Middle Eastern world, imprisonment, martyrdom and murder are additional parts of the deal!

Do you see the sequence? People bewildered by the self-harm and suicides of the rich and famous will ask, “But why? They had everything going for them; money, fame, adoration. For many years now I’ve been saying one can never really know what another person is like until that person doesn’t get his or her own way; then one begins to find out very quickly. And no, I’m not, “being judgmental.” The first person I learned this truth from was myself, not anyone else! It was this “discovery” that caused me to begin questioning, “Who am I? What am I? Why am I?” I didn’t discover the definitive answers until eighteen months later, but I did discover the first requirement would be one of internal change, not external. Stemming the Tide of Evil
I see on “social” media and You Tube there is increasing pressure being put upon Western society for the acceptance of pedophilia. Advocates want the practice and practitioners of it to be thought of as normal, not abnormal. If God Almighty, whose name is Lord Jesus Christ, chooses not to intervene before His earthly return, Western society will accept it. Remarkably though, quite a number of advocates of LGBTI practice and practitioners are horrified at the thought of it being normal, especially those among them claiming to be Christians.
