No wonder we’re Mocked and Ridiculed for our Beliefs

Why are Bible Christians mocked and ridiculed for their beliefs but people of other beliefs are not mocked or ridiculed for theirs? Answer: The Bible is the only Book to accurately reveal and proclaim the nature and character of Jesus Christ. We stand on that alone, thereby rejecting all extra-biblical writings and religious traditions. Why our rejections? They add nothing to the true nature and character of the Lord Jesus, but rather, they take from it. Taking from the former but adding from the latter is the primary cause of people worshiping a Jesus of their own or somebody else’s creation. Improper Bible Teaching

A group of Christian pastors shared what they considered to be primary concerns facing the Church today. Said one, “My primary concern is for this young generation of Christians. They are not receiving proper teaching, which means they will not be able to stand when the pressure comes.” His peers agreed with him. Whilst his concern is admirable, my concern is, why only this young generation of Christians, when the same could be said for generations of once-young, but now old Christians. What about the improper Bible teaching they received from their starting point? Continue reading “Improper Bible Teaching”

Observable Evidence the Bible is God’s Inspired Word

What is some observable evidence the Bible is God’s inspired word? Answer: The reactions one receives from most people when one proclaims its Scriptures. For some there will be feelings of discomfort; they’ll change the subject. For others, there will be feelings of anger but they’ll keep it under wraps, dismissing you in the process. Not only will some have feelings of anger, they will quite openly express it towards you along with ridicule, false accusations, insults and abuses. Within its pages, the Bible shows us we can expect such reactions, thereby confirming its Godly inspiration. Continue reading “Observable Evidence the Bible is God’s Inspired Word”

Invoking the Name of Jesus Christ in Prayer

Approximately 500 Christians gathered in front of the New Zealand Parliament recently, to pray for the Speaker to bring back references to Jesus Christ in the Parliamentary prayer. Late last year the Country changed Government and the new Speaker removed mention of Jesus Christ from the prayer. It appears he did so not for malicious reasons, but that in its current form the prayer was “exclusive”, it referring to a Christian God only, excluding people of different religions and those who believed in a secular approach. His motive for change, “to be inclusive rather than exclusive…..” Continue reading “Invoking the Name of Jesus Christ in Prayer”

My Strong Advice regarding this Prophecy

New Year’s Eve 2017, a US pastor gave a long prophecy. First, “2018, sayeth God, will be known and remembered as the year of death in the United States for the wicked who have been a mouth-piece for Satan and also for false prophets, hirelings and wolves in sheep’s clothing and the lukewarm.” I believe much of his prophecy is accurate, but the good news is we won’t have to wait long to find out if it is or not! Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast to what is good 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21. If his prophecy comes to pass there, in the USA, there will be a flow-on effect to other nations. Sin-hating godly People

Quote: “People love their sin and as their sin is legitimized, as their sin is normalized, as their sin is legalized, they’re going to cherish their sins more openly and more publicly and they’re not going to be interested in the things of Christ and suffering for the cause of Christ.” – John MacArthur. Certainly such a quote fits with what we see and hear from the people of the world today, but they’re not the people he was referring to. He was referring to what we see and hear from the people of the church; not of the true Church of course, nevertheless, the people of the world don’t know that! Self-righteous Finger-pointers

“God is exposing their hearts at last,” I read somewhere recently, in reference to sexual harassment allegations made against Weinstein, Spacey, Frankel, Conyers, Moore and whoever else on the list. Well, maybe God is exposing them, but if He is, may I suggest that perhaps He is exposing the hearts of many accusers too, speaking of those who have had no encounters with these men, or others. “Hypocrites!” That’s the common charge being thrown at the men too. Again, perhaps that’s so; but what about these unharmed accusers; can not the same charge be thrown at them? Continue reading “Self-righteous Finger-pointers”

Prepare for Accelerated Persecution

Heading towards 50 years ago, the Bible teacher said to his class, “There is only one thing worse than not getting your own way with God and that is when He gives you your own way.” I wonder if his students embraced the seriousness of what they heard that day. Perhaps not given the dead spiritual state of Bible Colleges, Seminaries and Churches in general throughout today’s Christian world. When homosexual and lesbian and transgender people start to become ordained elders, ministers and bishops, clearly that means God has given them their own way! The Spirit of Hatred is On the March

No doubt there were many Christians across the globe asking, “Why, Lord?” in relation to the mass slaughter of their fellow Christian brothers and sisters, young and old, in Sutherland Falls Texas, USA, last Sunday. I did. Did God answer me? Not in a manner I would have liked and I don’t suspect He will seeing He already tells us in His word what sort of a world we live in, a world that hates us because we’re not part of it. Thank God for His holy word! I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world John 17:14. Holy and Christlike People

According to Andrew Murray, 19th Century Christian writer, teacher and pastor, there are two sides from which we can approach the higher truth of God’s word regarding holiness and likeness to Jesus. 1) the desire to know all Scripture truthfully and to have our system of doctrine complete and perfect. 2) the deep, intense longing to be made free from sin, as free as God can make us in this life. He said it is only from the latter that real access will be given into the heavenly life of Christ. Amen! Imagine the witness of today’s Christianity if the emphasis was on the latter more so than the former. Continue reading “Holy and Christlike People”
