According to mainstream media, “Are you religious?” was the question each person was asked before dying at the hand of the demon-possessed shooter at Umpqua Community College, in Oregon, USA. Apparently the true question asked was, “Are you Christian?” Imagine the headlines had the question been, “Are you Muslim?” or, “Are you gay?” The Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name and into whose arms the martyred ones fell, has a promise for such media people and others complicit with them, But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven Matthew 10: 33. Rejection of Christ here equals rejection by Christ when facing Him there. Continue reading “Eyes like a Flame of Fire”
Denying the Lord Who Bought Them
Imagine standing face to face before the Lord Jesus Christ and being told, I never knew you Matthew 7:23. To me, discovering that reality would be more devastating than the command following it, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. It is said, I never knew you means, “I never approved of you.” Either way, praise God, for He is not referring to any who have given their lives to Him and are trusting Him for the salvation of their blood-bought souls. But sadly multitudes of men and women will hear it. Prophets, demon expellers, signs and miracle workers, teachers, evangelists, popes, priests, pastors, elders – I never knew you, is what they’ll be told and it will devastate them. The Ultimate Tragedy
“How patient God was,” I’ve heard it said, in reference to the wickedness of the antediluvian world. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually Genesis 6:5. Amen, indeed; not only patient, but merciful! We don’t really know the duration of God’s patience for their wickedness, but we do know that before He sent judgment He gave them approximately 100 years of gospel preaching through Noah, calling them to cease from it and turn back to Him. Prior to this they had the witness of Enoch at some point Genesis 5:22-24; so they were not without witness to God’s reality. Continue reading “The Ultimate Tragedy”
The Christ-less Ones
Christ-less men and woman galore have recently come out of the woodwork here to sneer at and or chastise the Federal Government for daring to consider placing the persecuted Christian people ahead of Muslims when they bring in 12,000 refugees from Europe who fled the Middle East. Whether that’s what will happen or not, it certainly shows up what’s in the heart of this crowd – they hate Christians! And going by the deafening silence of protest against such bigotry from our church leaders, who are never normally deafeningly silent on refugee matters, one can be forgiven for thinking they too might be Christ-less! Jailed For our Stand in Christ
Jesus said, Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? John 8:10. If He asked the adulterous woman that question today, her response might be, “No Lord. They’ve gone off to Kentucky, USA, to accuse Kim Davis instead.” Have you heard the accusing sodomites? “How many times have you been married, Kim?” How about the self-important journalists? How they have reviled everywhere in reporting of her four marriages and giving birth out of wedlock. Sodomite or journalist, if I was in the presence of this godless, accusing lot I would draw their attention to the woman of Samaria John 4:7-42. Kim is in good company! Jesus Came to Do Away with Religious Systems
Since coming to office in 2013, Pope Francis has made a few statements that must be classed as anti-biblical. Each time it’s happened, his minders have quickly come to his aid saying he’s been misquoted. They have not come to his aid this time with the following statement however, because they and he believe it absolutely. Quote: “There are those who believe you can have a personal, direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside of the communion and mediation of the Church. These temptations are dangerous and harmful. They are in the words of the great Pope Paul V1, “absurd dichotomies.” The old Protestant saints said, “The Vatican never changes.” They were right; it does not. It’s Your Badge of Honor
“You’re too black and white; you leave no room for grey areas.” How many Christians have had an accusation similar to that thrown at them for their uncompromising stand for the Scriptures of the Bible?! All praise to God if you have. It’s your badge of honor; wear it proudly! As it is presently, you are one of the few. Your Scripture-compromising accuser wears a badge of dishonor; a badge revealing dishonor for the Trinity of God, dishonor for the nature and character of God and dishonor for the truth of God. Unless there’s some divine intervention from our merciful God, a badge of dishonor is what they’ll be wearing when they stand before Him. Continue reading “It’s Your Badge of Honor”
Satan’s Man
For some months now during my early morning quiet time with the Lord, two new prayers are being brought before Him. One: that I be filled with the Holy Spirit for the hour of persecution. Two: that I be fully immersed or saturated in the Scriptures. I don’t know how bad things will get for us here in my neck of the woods, but I’m grateful to God for the chance to pray for these now, because if it comes suddenly, I will be that much more prepared. Although I’m not a prophet of God in the true sense, I am a servant in the true sense. Surely the LORD GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets Amos 3:7. I may not get all, but I’ll get some! Continue reading “Satan’s Man”
A Scoffer is a Mocker and a Mocker is a Scoffer
“Prove to me the existence of God,” says the mocking scoffer. “Prove to me the Bible is the Word of God,” says the scoffing mocker. My response: “You are the proof!” Will such a response give witness to them that this is so. No, most probably not. But for any new Christian reading this post, it will give witness to you that this is so. The apostle Peter tells us scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts 2 Peter 3:3. Jesus’ half-brother, Jude, tells us to remember the words spoken before by the apostles…….that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts Jude 1:17-18. Make the Bible your Final Authority. Continue reading “A Scoffer is a Mocker and a Mocker is a Scoffer”
