A “Keep America Great” hat or cap, worn by a young man of similar age. “It incites fear in all those around us,” she said. “Every person is afraid of that hat!” Of course, we who have learned to no longer bow to fears and emotions on anything and everything, know it’s not “that hat” that’s the real issue. Insults and Put-downs
Definition of fact: ‘a thing that is known or proved to be true – reality, actuality, certainty, truth.’ Definition of opinion: ‘a belief based on grounds short of proof’ – or – ‘a belief or judgment resting on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.’ Fact, and not an opinion: the moment you testify that you have discovered, embraced and intend operating your life out of the former, you can expect to receive plenty of insults and put-downs, both covertly and overtly, from people operating their lives out of the latter. Quote: “If you have no God, then you have no revelation and you have no Bible and you have no hope because you have no salvation.” – John MacArthur. That’s it in a nutshell! No wonder fear is the primary motivator in most people across the globe. They’re on their own and they know it inwardly even when they deny it outwardly. A high price is paid for such a state of being, not only on a personal basis but on a familial and societal basis too. Ignorance of God, or denial, the price is similar. Where there is no vision (revelation, divine communication), the people perish (cast off restraint, are let loose, are left to run wild). A timely message for new Christians: There are numerous lies proclaimed in churches today but the most devilish and God-dishonoring one is, “We all worship the same God.” In addition, the most devilish and God-dishonoring liars are the men and women standing in pulpits proclaiming it. Don’t be led astray by them; they do not know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent John 17:3. Any such person who equates the biblical God with those of other religions are to be avoided at all costs. Why? Take Christ Seriously and He will take You Seriously!
Question: Why is it of utmost importance that Christians quote Scriptures from the Bible when proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to unbelieving people? Answer: We are speaking to dead people – spiritually dead people that is, who must become alive spiritually before they can properly understand what it is God is saying to them. Only the Holy Spirit is capable of making that happen. That’s why Jesus said, It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life John 6:63. Believers or unbelievers, the Holy Spirit always tells people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. This post is written for people not familiar with the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus came to earth to save you from the penalty of your sin by sacrificing Himself on the cross in your place Hebrews 9:26. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. You sin against God by your thoughts, words and deeds. What happens to you if you reject Christ’s sacrifice on your behalf? The soul who sins shall die Ezekiel 18:20. For the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23. What is sin? Sin is rebellion against God Isaiah 1:2. Sin exalts self-will; sin rejects God’s will. Sin is lawlessness 1 John 3:4. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them Genesis 1:27. Well, well, well! If you, like me, believe that to be true, you and I hold a belief now deemed by a judge of a British court to be, “incompatible with human dignity.” That was the judge’s ruling against a Christian doctor, fired from his Government health job because he said, “No” to the following question from his line manager, “If you have a man six foot tall with a beard who says he wants to be addressed as ‘she’ and ‘Mrs’ would you do that?” Delusion in society is bad; delusion in the courts is horrific! Golden Rule Adherents
“The Golden Rule! That’s what I adhere to; I have no need for a God or a Bible or a religion.” That was the impatient old man’s response when he learned I represented Jesus Christ. Did he really adhere to the Rule? There was no evidence of it in the short time I was with him. It’s more likely he said that to get rid of me. People say and do all kinds of things when their cage has been rattled by the Spirit of God. Some get religious, some get philosophical and some get angry. He cared nothing for the Giver of the Golden Rule. So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets Matthew 7:12. Walking Away From Christ
In the past few months, the Christian world has been rocked by the news of some high-profile Church leaders publicly declaring they are no longer believers in the Christian faith. One of them in May this year, is quoted as saying, “After 40 years of being a devout follower, 20 of those being an evangelical pastor, I am walking away from faith. Even though this has been a massive bomb drop in my life, it has been decades in the making.” It always saddens me to learn of people walking away from Christ, but it never surprises me. Why not? Don’t Buy the Lie that Life lacks Purpose or Meaning
A recent survey of 1500 people in the UK showed 89% of 16-29-year-olds among them believing life lacks purpose or meaning. 55% of those over 60 years answered the same way. That’s a decent sized survey. It tells me that’s probably the percentage of all UK people in those age brackets at this point. The true disciples of Lenin and Marx would say their goals are on target then, with increased percentages expected over the next decade or so. People whose life lacks purpose or meaning have no God. Therefore, they have no assurance. People with no assurance have no hope. It’s not difficult then, to work out why suicide is rampant today.
