Believe it! You’re only a Pawn in their Game

Quote: “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.” – George Orwell. Well then, given that Western society has drifted advanced with rapid speed towards God-denying Communist and Social Marxist ideologies in recent years, this must confirm these ideologies are based or grounded upon lies, not truth! How come? Those who speak for them are loved, respected and idolized, not hated. If you, reader, are an advocate of these ideologies, you need to give this some long and serious thought. If these ideologies are based upon truth, as you believe them to be, then why are you not hated? Continue reading “Believe it! You’re only a Pawn in their Game”

Questioning the Value of Christian Survey Findings

For some time now I’ve been questioning the value of Christian survey findings carried out by National and International Research organizations. Examples: 54% of Christians believe……. 33% of Christians no longer believe…… Only 62% of Christians now believe…… The questions I ask these days when reading such headlines are: Who are they talking to? How do we know they are Christians? On what basis do they make their claim? In other words, were the people surveyed born again spiritually, or were they simply church-going, religious people? If they’re not born again then they are pseudo Christians. Therefore, the surveys are meaningless. Continue reading “Questioning the Value of Christian Survey Findings”

Feeding on a “Diet” of Scripture Bites

Sound bite: “a short extract from a recorded interview or speech, chosen for its succinctness or concision.” Apparently the primary reason sound bites are important to Television news media is because of tight time restrictions. Remove the commercials plus the weather and sport from a 30-minute news service for example, and you’re left with about 12 minutes of actual news. No wonder clever politicians favor sound bites; they understand only a few seconds of what’s said will be aired. No wonder self-opinionated, politically biased news journalists favor them as well. What better way to shred a person’s character in a few seconds than to air his or her quote out of context!  Continue reading “Feeding on a “Diet” of Scripture Bites”

Their Child-minded Foot Soldiers

Quote: “To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child……” – Cicero. Communist Goals: “Get control of schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda….. ” Goal No 17. “Infiltrate the press……” Goal No 20. “Gain control of key positions in radio, TV……” Goal No 21. I’m suggesting the mind singular, or minds plural that came up with the goals were not at all ignorant of the quote, made perhaps 2000 years prior to the latter. To me, both quote and goals explain a primary reason why Western society is now drowning in ignorance, confusion, fear, bitterness, anger and violence. Death by Suicide Grieves the Heart of God

If online reports are accurate, suicide is the leading cause of death among Australians aged 15 to 44 years. Two or three decades ago this was not the case, so why the change now? One answer today: it was in the 1970’s when the denial of God and all things biblical got a firm foothold in the education system here, from the kindergartens to the universities. Ably helped along by movies and television programs messaging the same denials in one form or another, it became the in thing for the in crowd to do! “God is dead,” they parroted, not because they believed it, but rather, they wanted to believe it! I was one of them. Continue reading “Death by Suicide Grieves the Heart of God”

When a Person Walks into a Church for the First Time

“I have attended a few church services in times past,” the lady said. “But I can’t say that I felt any the better for having done so.” There could be a variety of ways to interpret such a comment. A Holy Spirit-anointed preaching of God’s word may have brought a powerful but unmistakable Holy Spirit-conviction to her that she needed to put herself right with God. If that’s the case then one certainly will not feel any the better until one acts on the conviction. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. It is one thing to hear a Scripture such as that and not be moved but it is quite another thing to hear it and be Holy Spirit-moved. Reverence and Respect for God is the Foundation of Wisdom

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments…… Psalm 111:10. For a believer, the word “fear” means: ‘reverence for God; respect for His law and His will.’ Such reverence and respect is the foundation of wisdom. Those who fear God fear nothing else. For a nonbeliever “fear” means: ‘terror’ and ‘dread.’ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God Hebrews 10:31. Those who have no reverence or respect for God fear everything. Want proof? Observe how willingly they bow down to godless ideologies. Irreverence and disrespect for God is the foundation of foolishness. So What was it Jesus Demonstrated?

Quote: “The world is not waiting for a new definition of Christianity; it is waiting for a new demonstration of Christianity.”- Leonard Ravenhill. I’m not sure when he made that statement but it was at least 24 years ago, for it was November 1994 when his eternal soul departed from his body. Sad it is, the world is still waiting! Ask the average person, religious or otherwise, to define Christianity and you’ll be told it is all about “love and tolerance.”  My definition differs. Christianity is, “knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent John 17:3. Without such knowing we have no power to express love and tolerance in the manner acceptable to God. Limit God to the Bible and Discover the Unlimited God

“I love God as much as you do,” said the religious man. “It’s just that I don’t limit God to the Bible like you do.” When informing him that God has nothing to say to us outside of the Bible, he said, “That’s enough! I don’t want to hear any more.” True, Psalm 19:1 tells us, The heavens declare the glory of God; and, the human conscience was given us by God to make us God-conscious, but one can never discover the will of God or ever get to know Him on a personal basis, unless one submits one’s self to the revelation of God, found in the Bible alone. One can be religious and outwardly moral, but nevertheless, godless and inwardly immoral . Continue reading “Limit God to the Bible and Discover the Unlimited God”

The God-sent Moment of Truth

All hell broke loose during April this year when a well-known Christian International Rugby Union player here in Australia was asked by someone on “Social” Media, “What was God’s plan for gays?” His reply, “HELL, unless they repent of their sins and turn to God.” As can be imagined, he won himself few friends with that reply; he lost plenty though! A few days later he released an 11-minute You Tube clip of the late David Wilkerson speaking about hell:“It’s time to get right with God.” The man has one sure Friend however, his Lord Jesus Christ, the Man who spoke more about hell than heaven. Continue reading “The God-sent Moment of Truth”
