Dead Men Walking

Increasingly of late I’m noticing expressions of exasperation from fellow Christians with regards corrupt and perverted ideologies and practices eating away like cancers in Western Society. “Don’t these people get it?” That’s the cry from among some. Answer: No, they don’t “get it.” If they “got it” it would not be happening. As Christians, we must come to terms with the Scriptures and what they tell us about such people; they are dead men (people) walking! We were the same once and should never forget it. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins Ephesians 2:1. Continue reading “Dead Men Walking”

If It Were Not for the Bible

Non-believer’s question: Why do you insist on quoting the Bible when you speak about Jesus Christ? Answer: The Bible is the inspired word of God. Answer: I speak for the Lord Jesus Christ, not for myself. Answer: Non-believing man is a dead man walking, spiritually speaking; dead in trespasses and sins. Answer: The Bible is being increasingly compromised by Christians. Answer: The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of….. Hebrews 4:12.   Continue reading “If It Were Not for the Bible”

Eleven Precious Words of Scripture

“The gospel of salvation never changes,” says the preacher. “Amen,” says the church. But, if recent USA surveys are correct, it seems the gospel of salvation has indeed changed. Apparently the majority of Protestant people there no longer believe they are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. They have sided with the Roman Catholic Church, which claims people are saved by grace plus works.  Rome never changes, so does that mean they’ll be going to Mass soon? Quite possibly. When eleven precious words of Scripture get rejected anything’s likely to happen! Continue reading “Eleven Precious Words of Scripture”

The Garden’s Serpent

Pope Francis was recently reported as saying there is no hell. It’s a bogus, or “fake news” report as far as I can tell. However, it’s out there now and that is all most people need to confirm their own thoughts about the matter. Like all bogus reporting, the damage is done. Coupled with his statement in 2013 that atheists will make it to heaven, which is not a bogus report (as far as I can tell), multitudes of people are well and truly primed to receive this latest statement; this is exactly what they want to hear. Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits the prophet was told Isaiah 30:10. Continue reading “The Garden’s Serpent”

Religion is The Devil’s Masterpiece

A young man wrote and told of his negative experiences in a church. One such experience was his exclusion from a teen camp because of his recent facial piercing. More: “Every time I walked in those doors I felt judged.” Making the decision to leave that place at the age of 16, his feelings were confirmed it would seem; he was told he was going to hell! “I’m so confused as to what the religion (Christianity) is as a whole…… I’m just so clueless now and not sure what is the right way.” Young or old, perhaps someone reading this can identify with this young man and his negative church experiences. Continue reading “Religion is The Devil’s Masterpiece “

Holy Spirit Baptism

“If the Holy Spirit were taken out of the world today, 95% of all Christianity would continue undisturbed.” WA Criswell. A sad but true statement, I believe. If the apostle Paul were around today he would be in danger of getting the same response he received from the new disciples of Christ at Ephesus when he asked them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Their answer: We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit Acts 19:2. Christians today have heard of the Holy Spirit of course, so what is the real problem? Continue reading “Holy Spirit Baptism”

Profile of Politically Correct Tyrants

Quote: “Those who will not be ruled by God will be ruled by tyrants.” William Penn. Whether he is the originator of the quote there is some dispute, but it matters not; it is the truth in any case. Tyrant’ – ‘a ruler who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally.’ Probably for most people when they think of such it is Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot and the North Korean Kim Jongs who come to mind, but for Bible Christians, we think of Satan the devil, the ruler of this world John 12:31 and the god of this age 2 Corinthians 4:4. This ruler and god is the Tyrant of all tyrants. Continue reading “Profile of Politically Correct Tyrants”

Be a Voice for God not an Echo

God bless every person young and old who by faith opens their mouth to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel message of salvation. Especially may God bless you who thinks your efforts have no great impact on those spoken to. God will honor your efforts regardless of such thoughts, which are a lie from the devil in any case. God would never place those thoughts in your mind; God encourages, Satan discourages! Too, God empowers, Satan disempowers. And when it is people who pull you down, remember they are an echo, you are a Voice – a Voice for God.  Continue reading “Be a Voice for God not an Echo”

When Jehovah’s Witnesses Come Knocking

I’m always pleased when Jehovah’s Witnesses come knocking on my door. Why? It’s my God-given opportunity to witness Jehovah to them. I inform them, “I’m Jehovah’s witness too; His name is Jesus and now I’m going to tell you what He’s done for me. He took away my desire for boozing and drunkenness. Jesus cleaned up my filthy mind, my filthy heart and filthy mouth and now I’m living the guilt-free life we see promised in the gospels.” They will deny Jesus is Jehovah, but they will not deny what I say He did for me. Rarely will they respond however; their objective is to convert, not get converted! Continue reading “When Jehovah’s Witnesses Come Knocking”

Get Real with God and He will Get Real with You

Even though they were in captivity because of their acts of rebellion and idolatry, through His prophet Jeremiah, God told the Jewish people that His thoughts towards them were thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. They had some conditions to meet before they could inherit the glorious promise however; call upon God through consistent and diligent prayer. In other words, prayer from the heart, not from the head. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart Jeremiah 29:11-13. Get real with God and He will get real with you. Continue reading “Get Real with God and He will Get Real with You”
