A cartoon doing the rounds on “social” media recently depicts a disheveled down-and-out man in a prison cell kneeling at the bars; one hand on a bar, the other hand holding a stick to draw a loaf of bread towards himself from outside the bars. Next to the loaf of bread lay a key to the lock of his cell. The loaf of bread represents the world, the key represents God. A timely message given the current global troubles I thought, but a truthful message too. The truth being no matter how disastrous things get economically for people globally, most will rely on governments for their well-being, not God. That’s what happens when one wants nothing to do with God to begin with.
Their off-spring are government-reliant too, with masses of them having been taught there is no such Being as God. And, the off-spring of those know nothing of God; they’ve not even heard there is such a Being to deny! And so, the Communists, the Marxists, the Socialists, the Atheists, the Hedonists and the Humanists have achieved their goal it would seem. But look at the results it has brought upon society: anarchy, lawlessness, violence, murder, suicide, depression, anxiety, fear – the list goes on! And what can the governments do? Well presently, just like the powers that be might have done on the Titanic in 1912, they can rearrange the deck chairs, but the ship world is still going to sink.
Tyranny is just around the corner. When God removes His biblical Christ-ones from the earth a tyrannical one-world government is going to rise up and take charge. We’re currently getting a very small glimpse of what that will be like with this corona virus pandemic. Who would have thought that a City and State such as Melbourne, Victoria, would be the first to give us a sample of such here in Australia. At the time of writing, we’re in the first few days of a second 6-week lock-down. Curfews are in operation from 8pm to 5am. Employees working in permitted industries who cannot work from home are required to carry a new ‘Worker Permit’ when traveling to and from work.
People are only allowed to leave their home for work and essential health care or safety reasons. Shopping is restricted to supermarkets, grocery stores, booze shops, pharmacies, petrol stations, banks, news agencies and post offices. This must be done within a 5km radius from where we live. Only 1 person per household can leave for essential goods, and only once per day. Exercise is permitted once a day for up to 1 hour within that radius. When outside our home, wearing a face covering is mandatory; a $200 fine for those not wearing one without lawful excuse. No visitors are allowed at our home and we’re allowed to gather with one other person only from outside our household in public.
In addition, Australian Defence Force soldiers are on the streets of Melbourne and regional Victoria, to bolster police numbers. The police are using technology, including number-plate recognition software, to identify where drivers are traveling from. And so, if we want to get the smallest of glimpses of what a police state will look like and what martial law will look like under the forth-coming tyrannical one-world government, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, is the place to come – not! How did it get to this? Under the first 6-week lock-down the State government allowed a Black Lives Matter public protest which allegedly re-spread the virus, as did a major city hotel, due to alleged highly inefficient government controlled quarantining.
Am I attacking the State Government, the Victoria Police and the ADF? No. What is going on here is a direct result of what eventually happens when a society continually and increasingly wants nothing to do with God. History is replete with similar out-comes from Europe, Russia and Germany, but now it’s on in earnest in just about every nation across the globe. That’s why we have this current problem. Just how much this virus is the genuine issue versus issues political, is anybody’s guess, but it most certainly is a picture of what God is going to bring upon the world during the tyrannical one-world government. A tyrant will be running the government, but it will be God who is running him; we need never doubt that!
Our current State Government is also giving us a small glimpse of what it will be like for Christians (after the biblical church is gone) living under one-world government rule. Essentially, its ideologies are Communist/Marxist/Socialist, which are the absolute antitheses of biblical Christianity. Hence the Government caved in to the Black Lives Matter so-called protest, but kept (is still keeping) churches closed. Again, you can walk into a booze shop and buy as much alcohol as you want but you can’t walk into a church to pray and worship the Lord God Almighty if you want! Of course, Government powers tell us the lock-downs are for our protection, but when one studies Communist/Marxist/Socialist ideology one discovers lies are a core part of it.
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good Psalm14:1. And just in case we missed it the first time, God declared it a second time Psalm 53:1. What else does God say about the fool? Much! To do evil is like sport to a fool Proverbs 10:22. The fool will be servant to the wise in heart Proverbs 11:29b.The way of a fool is right in his own eyes… A fool’s wrath is known at once Proverbs 12:15-16. A fool lays open his folly Proverbs 13:16b. A fool rages and is self-confident Proverbs 14:16b. A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart Proverbs 18:2. Luxury is not fitting for a fool Proverbs 19:10. Honor is not fitting for a fool Proverbs 26:1b.
Is that all God has to say about the fool? No, he gets a mention over 60 times in the Bible. Had I not turned to Christ I would still be one of them! A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fool’s back Proverbs 26:3. He who sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his own feet and drinks violence Proverbs 26:7. Like one who binds a stone in a sling is he who gives honor to a fool Proverbs 26:8. Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him Proverbs 26:12. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness Proverbs 15:2. The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness Proverbs 15:14.
When the God of the Bible, whose name is Lord Jesus Christ gets completely rejected, so does truth. So does peace. So does honesty. So does integrity. So does morality. So does liberty. What is a society left with? It’s left with what the world is currently experiencing – tyranny! True, as I keep saying, there are only small glimpses of it presently but the day approaches when the world will be smothered in it. When it happens though, the judgment of the holy and righteous God Almighty upon a Christ-rejecting world will also get under way in earnest. Incurable viruses, plagues and diseases will be part of it, as will war, famine, drought, earthquakes, all kinds of human slaughter and, it’s going to go on for 7 years.
That will be the day when the entire peoples of the world will get to experience for themselves the truth of what’s written in the prophetic Book of Revelation, in the Bible’s New Testament. There will be no mocking what’s written in it on that day. No dismissing it as the writings of a lunatic. No arguments as to whether it’s to be taken literally, or allegorically or symbolically. And at the end of the 7 years? Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they also who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. And so, dear reader of this post, which choice for you: the bread loaf or the key Key? If you choose the bread loaf you’re choosing tyranny. If you choose the Key you’re choosing liberty. Yes, those of us who have chosen the Key are not exempt from a little tyranny while we wait for Jesus to take us out, but we will be exempt from the ultimate tyranny that’s coming down the road. When will Jesus come to remove His Christ-ones? We don’t know; He said He is coming at an hour when nobody expects it. That’s why He has told us to watch, look up and be ready! The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound Isaiah 61:1.
