One doesn’t have to search the Internet too deeply to study people’s viewpoints regarding the Antichrist, whether they’re biblical or non-biblical. From Popes to Presidents, Princes to Politicians, there’s enough to keep one occupied for years should that be one’s desire. However, much less is said about the spirit of Antichrist….. now already in the world 1 John 4:3. One of the evidences we are living in the last hour has to do not so much with the forthcoming Antichrist, but that many antichrists have come already 1 John 2:18. The one this post addresses today, I’m calling it the Protestant Antichrist.
It’s not difficult for spiritually mature Bible Christians to discern the antichrist spirits of Roman Catholicism, Mormonism or the Jehovah’s Witnesses because all of them very clearly preach another Jesus whom we have not preached 2 Corinthians 11:4. The Roman Catholic Jesus is unapproachable unless one goes to him through the Roman Catholic Mary, the Co-Redemptrix. The Mormon and Jehovah’s Witness Jesus is looked upon as a mighty god perhaps, but most certainly not the Almighty God of biblical Scripture. Any Christian group so-called that reduces Jesus to a level similar to these three groups is controlled by an antichrist spirit of some kind. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits…… 1 John 4:1.
So what then, the Protestant Antichrist; how does it operate? Instead of the church taking the gospel of Christ into the world, it brings the world into the church. With it, it brings its ways, methods and morals. The Protestant Antichrist pressures the church into being loved and accepted by the world, not hated and persecuted by it as is the case with true church of Jesus Christ. The Protestant Antichrist speaks endlessly of the love and compassion Jesus has for the world no matter the depths of godlessness and sin practiced by its people, most of who have no intentions of ever changing. The Protestant Antichrist thrives on, Judge not,…….. Matthew 7:1, but judges you mercilessly if you say, Woe unto you when all men speak well of you…… Luke 6:26.
The Protestant Antichrist surveys “unchurched” people in its community to find out what the church needs to do to get them to attend and become part of it. And you can be sure whatever it is the “unchurched” come up with, truth, holiness and righteousness will not be included. They won’t know the following Scripture, but they’ll certainly agree with it: Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits Isaiah 30:10. That’s what makes churches committed to Prosperity Gospel and Social Justice messages so popular; that Scripture fits perfectly with what they want in a church. Such a church will become a Mega Church in no time. No chance will there ever be of one being hated and persecuted in that place.
The Protestant Antichrist spends much energy affirming in its people what they already believe of themselves, that they are essentially good people at heart, not bad people. Yes, they make mistakes in life, they say and do wrong things, they stumble and fall at times but they’re nowhere near as bad as other people they know of. They don’t steal or kill or rape, they don’t break the law, they’ve never been to jail, they give to charities and other needy causes, they support their community, some even see themselves as pillars of society. Like their leaders, they compare themselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise 2 Corinthians 10:12.
The Protestant Antichrist will never tell its people that without the righteousness of Christ, the best they can do is filthy. All our righteousnesses are like filthy rags Isaiah 64:6. They can’t tell them, because their own righteousenesses are equally as filthy! That’s the spiritual condition of all of us until we are born again by the Holy Spirit of God. As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one…..; there is none who does good, no, not one Romans 3:10-12. How’s that for a blow to the ego! Is it any wonder the Bible is cursed, mocked and maligned? It’s the only book that brings us face to face with our true selves – sinners, rebels, on our way to hell if we deny the Savior who died for our sins, but rose from death 3 days later for our justification Romans 4:25.
The Protestant Antichrist will never speak of the Jesus Christ who demands a full surrender from those coming to Him for the saving of their soul. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved Roman s 10:9. Thank God that Jesus is our Savior, but He is also Lord, which means: ‘Supreme in authority’ ‘Controller’ ‘God’ and ‘Master.’ Many there are who “make a decision” for Jesus but there’s no evidence of change in their life. Not so, when Jesus Christ is Lord. The fruit of the Spirit will be evident, love, joy peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…… those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh…… Galatians 5:22-24.
The Protestant Antichrist will preach messages of comfort to its people, but never messages of conviction for specific sins. In other words, adultery won’t get a mention; neither will fornication, pornography and pedophilia. Yet the church is full of people who are into these things. There are bosses who short-change their workers, and workers who short-change their bosses. There are tax-cheats, stealers and all sorts of frauds in these places and nobody knows it except Jesus Christ and themselves. Why is this? There is no fear of God before their eyes Romans 3:18. They’ve created a Jesus Christ in their mind who’s just like they want him to be; a Jesus who sends nobody to hell, but all to heaven when they die; a Jesus full of mercy, but not full of wrath.
The Protestant Antichrist will make much mention of the promises declared in the Bible but will make no mention of the commandments to obey and the conditions required to inherit them. In other words, the messages preached contain half-truths and some-truths but never whole-truths. “Come to Jesus and He’ll give you the desires of your heart,” the people hear. They don’t hear, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven Matthew 18:3. They don’t hear, For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26. Messages designed to strip one of self they never hear.
The Protestant Antichrist (often, but not always) measures its success by the size of its members, church buildings and bank balances. That’s why there’s such a heavy emphasis placed on the people to give of their time, talents and money. They call it, “building the kingdom of God,” but the reality is it’s building the kingdom of men. As has been said on a previous post here on this blog, It Is Not Only Rome That Has Its Pope! For churches not measuring success by these things, they measure it by the popularity of the messages preached. For example: 10-15 years ago a message condoning same-sex marriage and transgenderism would have the preacher removed from the church. He or she today is considered by their people as a loving and compassionate preacher.
The Protestant Antichrist no longer hides the fact that it seeks to become one with the Roman Catholic Antichrist, as will the Islamic Antichrist, plus every other religious Antichrist known to man. All these will subject themselves to the slavery of the Roman Antichrist in the not too distant future if God doesn’t halt the timing of it. MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH she’s known as in Revelation 17:1-18, also known as the One-world Church. During the Great Tribulation the entire world will marvel with great amazement at her splendor, but it’s all short lived; the world-ruling Antichrist and others will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
The Protestant Antichrist rejects every word of this post. It doesn’t reject it because of its own cleverness, it rejects it because God has seen to it that it will do so. Or more specifically, God has seen to it that the people willingly deceived by its teaching will reject it. Why is this? Because they did not receive the love of truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12. So, my brother and sister in Jesus, where are you in this? Most people attending churches don’t do so for the love of the truth. If they did, the Protestant Antichrist would not have the control that it has in the church. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth 3 John 4.
