Driven by a Spirit of Wickedness

The online newspaper headline reads, “Let God be a ‘she’, says Church of England women’s group.” First they got their female priests, then they got their female bishops, and now they want their female God! That’s not what they’re saying but that’s what they mean. The Bible’s male language and imagery describing God, doesn’t suit so they want to overhaul it in their official liturgy. Quote: “He (God) encompasses gender; he is both male and female and beyond male and female. So when we only speak of God in the male form, that’s actually giving us a deficient understanding of who God is.” What? They don’t wish to refer to God as “He” yet they express Him as such in this silly argument!

Telling us gender categories shouldn’t be about stereotypes, one woman says, “We need to have a language about God that shows God can be expressed in lots of diverse terms.”   But, she really means male stereotyping, for another one says, “Quietly, clergy are just talking about God as ‘she’ every now and then.” It is not speaking of God in the male form that gives anyone “a deficient understanding of who God is” it is ignorance, non-experience or unbelief of God that gives them that. Based on the revelations of the Bible, (the only book to reveal God), I say this is the reality for these women and their so-called bishops. How pathetic, for not even their mother Eve considered such silliness when entertaining the serpent in the Garden!

Jesus said, By their fruits you shall know them Matthew 7:20. So what do we know about these women? We know they don’t know God! We know they don’t know Jesus Christ! We know they don’t know the Holy Spirit! We know they don’t know the Bible! If they did know, they would not give a moment’s thought to this deception let alone   express it in words. Like their mother Eve, these women are rebellious, defiant and non-submitted to the male headship God has placed over them. That’s the reality and everything else they say is simply a smokescreen to avoid facing this issue. In the biblical church, we see submitted, holy women of God functioning in delegated authority – including the spiritual gifts of prophecy and healing 1 Corinthians 12:1-31.

But it is men God anoints for church government and sound doctrinal teaching. Women beguiled by the serpentine spirit despise this reality, that’s why they fight it tooth and nail. I see one meaning of “fight tooth and nail” is to ‘fight with the intensity and ferocity of a wild animal’. How very apt is that description for many church women usurping male headship in churches today around the world. But just like Adam in the Garden, it is the men who will be held accountable before God for allowing this to get to where it now is. Spiritually lazy men soon become spiritually emasculated men when they come up against Satan’s ambitious, non-submitted, unholy church women. 1 Timothy 2:12 is as relevant today as it was the day the apostle Paul wrote it.

To reject any word or part of the Bible is to reject every word or part of God. That being so, it doesn’t matter if one defines God as he, she or it, all they have done is create a god of their imagination. That makes them no different than Aaron and what he did for the children of Israel Exodus 32:1-35. I cast it (gold) into the fire and this calf came out, said lying Aaron, who fashioned and molded it by his own hand. These women are doing the same thing, only their fashioning and molding comes out of their carnal minds. They charge us with idolatry for holding to the Bible’s exclusive male references to God, however, You shall have no other gods before Me……you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…. Exodus 20:3, 5. 

The charge of idolatry goes to these women and their so-called bishops. They do not represent the biblical Lord Jesus Christ either. Like the god of their imagination, they have created a Jesus of their imagination. But their Jesus makes a liar of the biblical Jesus, for He has told us, If you had known Me, you would know My Father also. Philip said to Him, “Lord show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us John 14:7-9. What became sufficient for Philip is never sufficient for ambitious, non-submitted, unholy church women. He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? No more questions or doubts from Philip at that point, only humility. What do we get from these idolaters? No humility, plenty of arrogance and pride!

There is a spirit of wickedness driving these women, but unless one is submitted fully to the Word of God – both the written and the Living Word, Jesus, this reality can never be spiritually discerned. And that’s how they’re getting away with it; there’s next to no spiritual discernment being exercised in that church. So when things like this are not seen for what they truly are, they’re seen as progressive – keeping with the times! The spiritually discerning know them well: deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. They are ministers of wickedness who transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

If Jesus Christ walked the streets of their cities and towns today He would proclaim the same message as that of the Scriptures. What would be the response of these women? They would stone Him! As soon as He opened His mouth to proclaim, It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail Luke 16: 17, and the Scripture cannot be broken John 10:35, the stones would be hurled from their hands before those of any like-minded males among them, make no mistake! These women mean business; they’re not going to let any Scripture or any Bible get in their way. Don’t be fooled by their smiling faces, smooth talk and religious garb. For the Lord does not see as man sees……. 1 Samuel 16:7. Neither must we!

Driven by a spirit of wickedness, these Church of England women will not be satisfied until they have dethroned the God of the Bible and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether it be this current lot or the next generation following them, that’s the plan. That is why at some point in the future they will re-write the Bible using female gender. Their silly statement, “God is she as often as she is he,” is a precursor to the even sillier statement, “God the Mother.” Satan has always had a mother god for pagans, of course, but up until recent years he’s not been able to break through in the church. Today is different; the “fundamentalists” are dying off. Not long to go now before they are dead completely in the Church of England!

Every church person driven by a spirit of wickedness holds a low view of the Bible. These Church of England women are no different. None of them belong the Father because none of them belong to Jesus. How do we know this? To get to the Father you must come through Jesus John 14:6, and to get to Jesus, You must be born again John 3:7. The one who is born again becomes a new creation; old things have passed away….. 2 Corinthians 5:17. What old things ? Everything … including the old ‘me’ that is silly, rebellious, defiant, ambitious, non-submitted, unholy, carnal, arrogant, proud and wicked. What all things become new ? Everything … but certainly a new-found respect for the Trinity of God – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, the Bible as it is!

But let us not be duped. We who belong to the Father because we belong to Jesus are rare. We are not many, we are few – a remnant. That has always been the case and it’s always going to be. Those submitted to and lead by the Holy Spirit walk the narrow path following Jesus; those submitted to and driven by a spirit of wickedness walk the broad path following Satan Matthew 7:13-14. That means there are more of them than there are of us! It’s hard for Christians to think of church people being on the broad path, especially priests and bishops, female or male. But when we go to the gospels we find these to be the people hindering Jesus every step of the way. No, they were not women, but they were driven by the same spirit – wickedness!

Every born again Christian knows God is beyond male and female. We are fully aware God is a Spiritual Being. Nevertheless, ‘He’  is how the Holy Spirit reveals Him from Genesis to Revelation and ‘He’ is how Jesus, the Incarnation of God, revealed Him. It is not a clever mind that seeks to change the gender in which God has revealed Himself to us in the Bible, it is a silly, rebellious, defiant, ambitious, non-submitted, unholy, carnal, arrogant, proud and wicked mind that seeks to do that. If it were not that kind of mind,   one could take them to Revelation 22:18-19 and show them the eternal curses promised from Jesus for all who add words to and take words away from the Bible. God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth John 4:24. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God….. 2 Timothy 3:16.
