A timely message for new Christians: There are numerous lies proclaimed in churches today but the most devilish and God-dishonoring one is, “We all worship the same God.” In addition, the most devilish and God-dishonoring liars are the men and women standing in pulpits proclaiming it. Don’t be led astray by them; they do not know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent John 17:3. Any such person who equates the biblical God with those of other religions are to be avoided at all costs. Why? The Holy Spirit is not speaking through them, but rather, an unholy spirit – a deceiving spirit!
Prior to His death and resurrection, Jesus said of the Holy Spirit whom He would send after His ascension to heaven, He will testify (bear witness) of Me John 15:26. More specifically Jesus said, He will glorify (honor, magnify) Me John 16:14. In other words, the primary purpose for the Holy Spirit coming to earth was to bear witness to and honor and magnify nobody but Jesus Christ; not Romanist Mary, not Romanist saints, not Romanist popes and not the Muslim Allah. I draw this to your attention because on the horizon is a one-world government and a one-world religion. Roman Catholicism and Islam will be at the forefront; all other religions, “Christian” apostates and unbelievers will fall into line with those two and all refusing to do so will be killed.
He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad Matthew 12:30. In context, that was Jesus’ response to religious Pharisees who accused Him of being in league with Satan the devil. But it’s appropriate to use it here; anyone who stands in a pulpit declaring, “We all worship the same God,” is certainly against Christ, and devilishly so! They don’t draw people to Him! The best they can do is draw people to a Christ of their own creation, which is what Roman Catholicism and Islam has always done! The former has placed the greater importance upon Mary, the earthly mother of the Lord Jesus and the latter has reduced Him to a mere human prophet whom they say they respect. What is this if it’s not against Christ, scattering abroad?!
Alarm bells don’t ring for Christians when world leaders, politicians, the biblically ignorant, the politically correct and all kinds of people-pleasers say, “We all worship the same God,” but they should ring when church leaders say it. The fact that they don’t ring for many may be an indication of their biblical ignorance or political correctness or people-pleasing – or all three. There’s only one solution to that problem and it is found in the Bible alone. Set aside what the above mentioned religions teach from their religious books. Be like the Banknote Counterfeit Detectors of old and study the real article, not the counterfeit. Know what the Bible reveals of God like the back of your hand; that way you’ll pick up on the counterfeit in a flash.
God is a Person who can only be known by supernatural revelation, not natural education. That’s why God gave us the Bible, the only book of such revelation. In the Old Testament God revealed Himself to the prophets, then through the prophets. Moses was one such prophet. In reference to the miracles God did for the Israelites in Egypt, he told them, To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD Himself is God; there is none other besides Him Deuteronomy 4:35. God spoke through the prophet Isaiah, Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his (Israel’s) Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God Isaiah 44:6. Again God spoke through Isaiah, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me Isaiah 46:9.
In the New Testament God revealed Himself through His Son Jesus Christ. God, who at various times and in different ways (visions, dreams, all kinds of revelations), spoke in time past to the fathers through the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds Hebrews 1:1-2. Son of God means: ‘God in flesh’ ‘God incarnate.’ That means then, if we want to know the true nature and character of God, we start with the 4 Gospels and study the nature and character of Jesus Christ. Spend some productive time engaging in that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and your alarm bells will loudly and clearly confirm you are listening to a liar when you hear, “We all worship the same God.”
Says God again through Old Testament prophet Isaiah, I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior Isaiah 43:11. Only one God! Only one Savior! That must certainly mean then that Jesus Christ is God because He is the only Savior! God didn’t send a half dozen of them into the world so we could pick and choose, He sent one – Himself! And Mary said, My soul magnifies the LORD, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior Luke 1:46-47. Only a sinner needs a Savior! So very different is biblical Mary and earthly mother of Jesus to Romanist Mary. In his first epistle to Timothy, Paul wrote he was an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope I Timothy 1:1. No hope for anyone without Christ the Savior!
Exhorting the church to pray for all legally constituted authorities, for the public at large, for ourselves and for the salvation of all people, the same apostle wrote in the same epistle, For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:1-3. No matter the book of any other religion, you will not read those words, or anything remotely like them. Again in the same epistle Paul said of himself and others that they labored and suffered reproach because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe 1 Timothy 4:10. The idea that, “We all worship the same God,” is blasphemy and preachers proclaiming it are hell-bound!
New Christians, the more you know of what the Bible reveals on this topic the more assured you will be that there is only one God and Savior. If all you did was allow the Scriptures mentioned thus far in this post to sink deep into your soul they would be enough to give you a solid spiritual footing to stand against these liars and deceivers, but let’s look at a few more. In the New Testament 3-Chapter book, Titus, Paul the apostle spoke of the commandment of God our Savior; grace, mercy and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ; the doctrine of God our Savior; the kindness and love of God our Savior; and, the washing of regeneration and renewing through the Holy Spirit whom He (God) poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Only one God! Only one Savior! The apostle Peter wrote similarly of: the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ…… The everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 2 Peter 1:1, 11. Entanglement after having escaped the pollutions (moral foulness) of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior 2 Peter 2:20. The commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior 2 Peter 3:2. The commandment to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18. Not forgetting the glorious benediction from Jude, Jesus’ earthly brother: To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:25.
Jesus is the Living Word of God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God John 1:1. Jesus created everything. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made John 1:3. The majority of people are totally unaware Jesus is the Creator, so here’s some extra confirmation: He was in the world, and the world was made through Him…… John 1:10. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible…… Colossians 1:16. Not forgetting again the Scripture Hebrews 1:2, quoted above. So when we read the opening verse of the Bible, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1, it was Jesus who did that.
To the morally legalistic but spiritually blind and God-dishonoring Pharisees, Jesus said, I and My Father are one John 10:30. They fully knew what He was saying when they heard that statement and they would have killed Him for it there and then had the timing been right. The best they could do though was accuse Him of blasphemy; You, being a Man, make yourself God John 10:33. Quote: “Never did any prophet before, from the beginning of the world, use any one expression of himself, which could possibly be so interpreted as this and other expressions were, by all that heard our Lord speak. Therefore if he was not God he must have been the vilest of men.” – John Wesley. Never was there a Man like Jesus. Only one God! Only one Savior! For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him who is the head of all…… Colossians 2:9-10.
