The Clever People are not Clever at All!

“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.” – George Orwell. One doesn’t have to be a Holy Spirit-led, Jesus Christ-centered, Bible-based Christian these days to experience society’s hatred for speaking the truth. One only has to be a man-made climate change skeptic, or a pro-lifer, or one who stands for traditional marriage and they’ll be hated should they speak up for them. The days of simply being disagreed with in a discussion, leaving it at that, are long gone. In fact the days of engaging in mere discussion on just about any topic are long gone!

It’s difficult for one to open his or her mouth and speak for 20 seconds without being rudely interrupted or shouted down or ridiculed; one only has to observe the behavior of Government politicians in the Parliament and TV journalists doing interviews to see the reality of that. But what does it all mean? Why is this so? It means that truth exists in spite of all attempts to stamp it out. It is so because not only does truth exist, it unsettles and it cuts. Truth pulls the rug out from under the truth-denier’s feet – no support – no assistance. And the only way for such people to get the upper hand is to shout the other person down. Shouting them down is the “art” they use to shut them down and it usually works.

Take “man-made” climate change for example. It is not man-made, it is God-made! In other words, God controls the climate, not man. That’s why Bible Christians don’t scream and shout in our defense when speaking against the man-made part of it. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease Genesis 8:22. We simply proclaim this truth then leave it at that. Now that makes nearly all truth-deniers furious because they can’t argue against this rationally, they can only do so emotionally. In addition, emotional arguments against truth have no validity! Biblical evidence for God-made climate change is in Revelation 16:8-9. It’s a judgment from God on man-made sin!

Pro-choice advocates can’t argue against Pro-lifers rationally either. The sixth Commandment has taken care of that! You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. All their arguments to the contrary are invalid – always have been, always will be. No amount of emotional yelling, crying, screaming and shouting can change this truth any more than it can for one wanting to change the outcome for violating laws of gravity and physics. True, some of these people advocate abortion and euthanasia because of guilt within them for having participated in it, but dumping it on those who disagree with them only makes the guilt worse, not better. True release from this comes by repenting, not by venting! Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden…… Matthew 11:28.

Same-sex marriage advocates most definitely can’t argue rationally against those standing for traditional marriage. Which in turn most definitely explains the reason for their infantile abuses, vitriol and name-calling. Of all people most threatened by the truth, it is these people. There’s only one form of marriage, the one decreed by God Almighty Himself – the marriage between one man and one woman. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh Genesis 2:24. Jesus confirmed it, and added, Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate Matthew 19:6. By the way, God decreed this form of marriage even before there was a father and mother!

“We’re living in a post-truth age,” so say the clever people. One dictionary defines  post-truth as: ‘Relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.’ Says Christian man, Abdu Murray of post-truthers, “We recognize truth but subordinate it to preference because we have sacrificed truth and clarity on the altar of human autonomy. I’m a law unto myself. I get to decide what’s right for myself and you get to do the same thing.” It’s not hard to work out why chaos rules in society today, is it? If you’re a law unto yourself and I’m a law unto myself, but our laws clash at some point, then best we make sure our hard helmets are firmly fastened!

This post-truth nonsense reminds me of the two mentally deranged men beating up on one another in the mental home because each one claimed he was Jesus Christ! Had one of them said he was John the Baptizer, both would still be mad, but they wouldn’t come to blows over it. To my mind all post-truthers are walking the path of mental derangement and those coming to blows with one another have reached the end of it! “I’m free to believe whatever I want to believe,” people say. That’s true, they are. But they’re not free to determine the outcome of their beliefs. One can deny God, Jesus Christ, the Bible and the truth on all things declared within, but hell is where one ends up, post-truth or no-truth!

Guest number one on a You Tube Channel: “If you start to disagree on how to see truth and how to establish it and agree what it is, then I think you’re in some danger. But, truth is under a lot of attack.” In response, guest number two asks, “Well, how do you define truth?” She was not looking for the answer though; she was simply letting us know she was one of the clever people. A Bible teacher of yesteryear defined truth perfectly: “Truth is the actual state of affairs, as contrasted with rumor, false report and mythology.” In addition to that Spirit-blessed definition, truth is a Person; truth is Jesus Christ. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me John 14:6. Jesus Christ is no post-truther and He has contempt for those forcing it on us.

Post-truther or non-truther, it matters not an iota what label the clever people like to place upon themselves, they’re in mental and spiritual bondage regardless. No wonder there’s such bitterness and violence among them all – this is what resides within them all! What is within will come out when the pressure is on. Those possessing the peace of Christ get to express it under pressure, those not in possession of it get to express what’s in them. Our television screens give evidence of this reality every hour. Jesus said, The truth shall make you free; not his truth or her truth or their truth, but only Jesus’ truth John 8:32. “Autonomy and liberty is what I have,” they say, as they accuse the rest of us not in league with them of being a Nazi or Hitler. How dumb!

Given that the clever people are a law unto themselves, this explains why lawlessness abounds across the globe. Jesus said of a future day, Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold Matthew 24:11-12. One who lives the truth sees that day is almost upon us. The false prophets of man-made climate change, child infanticide, euthanasia, same-sex marriage, cross-dressing, gender transitioning – they’re all deceiving many – many times many! One can only imagine the chaos and horror once these things are in full swing, not to speak of legalized pedophilia, bestiality and multiple marriage partners. The clever people scoff at this of course, which goes to show they’re not clever at all!

The future day Jesus speaks of is known as the day of the LORD. Christians know it too as the Great Tribulation. This is the time of God’s judgment upon the post-truth world for all of its God-insulting, Christ-insulting, Bible-insulting, truth-insulting words thoughts and deeds. Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty Isaiah 13:6. The great day of the LORD is near; it is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the LORD is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness Zephaniah 1:14-15. The last 3½ years of this will be horrific in the extreme.

But the good news is, before that day, there is the day of Jesus Christ, also known as the Rapture. This is the day Jesus comes to remove the true church from earth to heaven. Once again the clever people laugh and scoff, but no matter, the laugh will be on us on that day. Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6, 10; 2:16. So, where are you at presently, reader? Are you part of the post-truth, no-truth crowd? If so, that’s not clever, that’s foolish. Why so? It means you are driven by hate, not love. That makes you you’re own worst enemy, not us. Give your life to Jesus. The clever people are not clever at all! Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name Psalm 86:11.
