According to a recent survey here, the greatest concern for 69% of Australians is the increase of Islamic State atrocities. By comparison, only 37% show any concern about climate change. Rather interesting, I find. When listening to Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers, one can be forgiven for thinking it’s the other way round. It goes to show just how out of touch the latter crowd is. Or does it? Maybe not. Maybe they’re in touch but have different agendas in any case, for the meantime. Mind control is what it’s all about for “those in the know” with this lot and “man-made” climate change propaganda serves a grander purpose for them than ISIS; enhanced reputation, influence, money!
ISIS and climate change were not specific issues of concern for the many hundreds of people I spoke with on the streets of my community years ago. But the first Gulf War, economic instability and unemployment were. Many were driven to sleepless nights and medical practitioners at the time, but so few were driven to God. Nothing is changing! God still has the answers for all issues of concern; medical practitioners have some answers, but Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers have few answers! We better believe it, they have few answers. Next to none of them believe in God and those that do, don’t believe God. The next time you hear a Politician saying, “May God bless ……..,” ask yourself, “Which God has he in mind?”
He (or she) doesn’t have the God whose name is Jesus Christ in mind, that’s a given. For if he did things would change. Referring to the Old Testament, the apostle Paul wrote in the New Testament, For whatever things were written before were written for our learning…… Romans 15:4. Among the many things written for our learning, we see that when national leaders humbled themselves before God and called their nation to repentance, God answered them and change came, most certainly. Whoever were the equivalent to today’s Leftist and Intellectual chatterers fell into line with the rest of them too. Any who didn’t were cursed; they became nobody’s and the laughing stock of the repentant people.
At the risk of appearing faithless and pessimistic, I believe today’s Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers will, with the United Nations, lead the world into the great tribulation spoken of in Matthew 24:21 and Revelation 7:14. They fit the category of those described in Romans 1:18-32 because they did not like to retain God in their knowledge. From here on in, those refusing to retain God in their knowledge put themselves on the same slippery slope as those described by JB Phillips: filled with wickedness, rottenness, greed and malice; their minds became steeped in envy, murder, quarrelsomeness, deceitfulness and spite. They became whisperers-behind-doors, stabbers-in-the-back…………. A charming bunch, indeed!
Asked, “Do you believe in God?” the national Politician too quickly responded, “No.” He lied. His eyes gave him away. Truth entered him, as it does all, through God’s work in nature. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork Psalm 19:1. Truth entered him, as it does all, through God’s work upon the conscience. They show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing them or else excusing them Romans 2:15. The man was wise who said, “He who shuts out the light will finally be unable to bear it.” And truthful too! For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed John 3:20.
A remarkable thing to me about Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers, when interviewed, they come across as experts on just about everything. Rarely do we hear them say, “I don’t know.” No matter if he/she is a back-blocks farmer, a big-city lawyer, a business person, a University professor or lecturer, a journalist or an academic of some kind – they’ve got an answer for everything. Hardly any seem willing to limit themselves to the field of their own expertise. No matter the ills of society, the nation or the world, they’ve got the solution – “I think.” “I think.” “I think.” And most of us sit there interpreting their “I think,” as “I know.” How dumb is that on our part? It’s like seeking a motor mechanic for advice on how to cure your lumbago!
For someone who thinks I think Conservatives have the answers, I don’t. Besides, there are so few genuine Conservatives around today in any case. Even among them, those who say they believe in God don’t believe Him. When it comes to choosing between party policy and Holy Scripture, it is not party policy they kick to the curb. Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve Joshua 24:15 is not a difficult choice to make when one believes party policy is a better, more beneficial and profitable master than God. For the Conservative who disagrees: then get rid of your policy on child murder in the womb. Get rid of your policies on all forms of sexual perversion. Get rid of your policies on man-made climate change. Embrace God’s answers to them all.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes Psalm 118:8-9. Putting Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers aside for a moment, how about the United Nations, so-called! Christians putting their trust in this lot need their heads examined. Yet many there are, who are. Do they not know they’re putting their trust in godless, atheist, Socialist, Communist, Collectivist men and women? Men and women who stand for evil, not good, wrong, not right, lies, not truth, the lessor, not the better, the failed, not the successful? Men and women who hold nothing but contempt for Israel, yet nothing but admiration for her despotic enemies?
Men and women of the United Nations do not stand for Judeo/Christian values and principles. Why not? The answer is to be found in God’s Ten Commandments Exodus 20:1-17. Compare those Commandments with the list they do stand for in the above paragraph and we see clearly the reason why not. Therefore, the United Nations, just like Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers, don’t have answers for their own problems let alone those of a society, nation or world. Christians devoting themselves to God’s government, guidance, wisdom, power and goodness are not only wise, they are more secure and safer by far than any man and princes claiming it’s their divine right to force regulations for safety and protection upon us.
According to Christian and non-Christian financial experts, there is a world economic collapse just around the corner. Looking at the trillions and billions owed by many nations it’s seems their predictions are highly probable. However, when it takes place, we can expect at least two things to happen. Firstly: Politicians everywhere will bear no responsibility for the collapse and Leftist and Intellectual chatterers will babble overtime with “answers” as to why it happened. Secondly: The same Politicians will tell the world they have clearly defined solutions to right the situation and Leftist and Intellectual chatterers will continue to babble overtime saturating us with their opinions and prognostications as to which Politicians are right and wrong.
As the days become darker and more violent, Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers can be counted upon to become vigorous opponents of Bible Christians. Presently they are opponents, but not vigorous opponents. That will change. They who stand not for Jesus, stand for Satan, whether they know it or not or believe it or not. That’s the offence of the cross of Christ. It is Jesus Christ and His gospel that tells them their life is a lie. Like all of us, unless they humble themselves, turn that around and repent, eternal damnation awaits them at death. Their self-appointed good works, no matter how seemingly noble and their self-imposed morality, no matter how seemingly upright, are an offence to God in every way Romans 3:12.
Forget the percentages. Islamic State atrocities and climate change will continue to be great concerns for Australians. Politicians, Leftist and Intellectual chatterers will see to it that they are. However, of even greater concern, will be the economic collapse when it happens, with world war hot on its heels. Bible prophecy will come to pass regardless of who says what about the Bible. When all these things come down, man will not be in control, he will be out of control! The world will experience mayhem and slaughter on scales unimaginable. On the other hand, God will be in control; He always is! God is never caught on the hop and it’s my prayer that we, His people, will not be either. Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies Psalm 40:4.
Yesterday I reached the point where the noise and concerns of the world and the worldly go by without the slightest emotional reaction on my part. Should we be surprised that a dog barks or the sun rises in the east and waste emotion or energy on such mundane news?
Sin and Satan have so overtaken the behaviors of men that each new example of evil is just more of the same.
I resolve to look for the still, small, supernaturally powerful illustrations of God’s hand in the world. To invest only in God and His people and to give nothing more to “Caesar” than is his due.
Our focus is being drawn from what is true, what matters, and what is eternal by the sleight-of-hand magic tricks of the evil one purposefully designed to capture our attention, our resources, and lead us away from the soft gentle light that still falls across the globe visible only to eyes who seek it.
Look away from the side show. Mourn for the lost. Pray for those who remain. Look out and look up. Maranatha.
