Of the many hundreds of people that I met doing this work out on the streets, there were only a few that I had the on-going pleasure to visit on a regular basis.  Regardless of whether they accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ or not, I was made welcome in their homes for tea or coffee and a chat.  These people had a clear understanding Read the rest of this entry »

A young man in his mid-twenties came to the door and when he was informed of the purpose of my visit he told me he was a communist from Yugoslavia.  Then he said, “I could be Jesus.”  I told him that was not possible, so he asked me, “Why not?”  I explained that Jesus was not a communist nor was He from Yugoslavia.  I then went on to say that if he really was Jesus, then he’d be doing the work Jesus said He would be doing when He returns. One mid-afternoon I walked by the home of a smiling old man standing in his front door entrance.  I stopped and introduced myself and informed him I was from the local church around the corner.  He looked pleased when told of this and he asked me if I could come back late afternoon to talk.  Whenever someone asks me to do that, I know without a doubt that God has His hand on that person and He is going to reveal Himself if that should be his or her desire.
