Reality Revelations

Testimonies to the practical reality, revelations and power of Jesus Christ in people's lives.

By way of gradualism.

One of the ways the Holy Spirit of God has always burned His truths deep into my spirit is to draw my attention to written or verbal statements made by others, whereby I will dwell on or meditate on them for hours, searching out the meanings and ramifications contained within.  Statements such Read the rest of this entry »

The greatest loss of all.

Posted by Roger Williams

Just before He ascended into heaven, Jesus told his people that soon they were going to receive a power from God the Holy Spirit which would enable them to spread His message not only locally, but right around the world.  He was not speaking about a power that could be developed by human strategies, He was speaking Read the rest of this entry »

Just about everybody was an expert.

Posted by Roger Williams

In the three and a half years I ministered as a public messenger of the Christian gospel, it seemed that just about everybody was an expert when it came to the Bible.  To the clever and the sophisticated, it was a book of out-dated ancient literature used by the religious, the political or otherwise, to control the ignorant, the superstitious or otherwise.  To the not-so-clever and the not-so- sophisticated, it was, “one of a number of books that contained a few truths and guidelines for mankind to live by, but written only by men.”  To others who had no clue as to Read the rest of this entry »

But they still have a god.

Posted by Roger Williams

As a “hands on” public messenger of the Christian gospel in my local community I learned some powerful truths about human nature.  I learned that everybody holds firmly to a belief system (god) regardless of whether they say they believe in God or not.  It was a fascinating experience to listen to someone tell me something like, “I have no need of any God or religion, that’s for the weak and the superstitious.”  How proud they were to Read the rest of this entry »

Because I feel dirty.

Posted by Roger Williams

Sometimes when I door-knocked a person’s home it was as though he or she was expecting me to call and as a result I was often immediately invited inside.  Gordon did this one morning and no sooner had he done so, when his partner Jill asked, “How much do you people charge for somebody to get baptised?”  Guilt was written all over her face when she said it and when I looked into her eyes to respond she turned her head away.  I asked her why she wanted to get baptised and she said, “Because I feel dirty.” Read the rest of this entry »

I have to have time to make the choice.

The first time I met Len he spoke inside behind his security door for ten minutes, then he stepped out from the door onto the porch and we spoke for another ten minutes or so, then he called for his wife May to come and meet me.  May was very happy that this event was taking place because she too had been born again by the Spirit of God and she new immediately that it was His hand that brought us together.  She invited me to come inside and we continued our conversation for a further thirty minutes. You need Jesus Christ.

Posted by Roger Williams

I walked around the back of the house and I saw the man sitting on some out-house doorsteps stirring a tin of paint with an electric drill.  As he looked up at me I said to him, “You need Jesus Christ.”  He quickly responded by saying, “I’ve been looking for Him.” Read the rest of this entry »

You were sent by God today.

The lady introduced herself as Dorothy.  Perhaps in her late sixties, she was already standing at her front gate as I came along, telling me that she had heard me speaking with a neighbour two doors down, so she “came out for a chat too.”  She said she was a widow and as a consequence didn’t get to talk much with people.
